Honasa Consumer, the parent company of brands like Mamaearth, The Derma Co, Aqualogica, BBLUNT, Dr Sheths & Staze, has appointed Karan Bajwa as Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) and Avinash Dhagat as Chief Supply Chain Officer (CSCO).
“Karan and Avinash have played instrumental roles in shaping Honasa’s growth trajectory over the years. As we rewrite the brand playbook in India and build the next generation of beauty and personal care brands, their leadership will be crucial in creating an agile, purpose-led, and innovation-driven organisation,” Varun Alagh, the Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Honasa Consumer, commented.
Karan Bajwa, the new CHRO, joined Honasa in April 2021 as the Head of Human Resources. He is quite proud of his contribution to the company’s growth as a house of brands. In his new position, Bajwa will focus on people strategy and a culture based on diversity, equity, and inclusion principles while championing meritocracy.
Before joining Honasa, Bajwa worked with Airtel for over six years. He joined the company in January 2015 as the Manager of Talent Management and Development and became the National HR Business Partner of Sales and Distribution in September 2016.
In September 2018, Airtel appointed Bajwa as Deputy General Manager of Total Rewards and then as the Head of Total Rewards in July 2019. In January 2021, he became the Head of HR Shared Services, Technology and Employee Experience.
